A Free Health Check-up and BMD Screening Camp was conducted at Ballagtagi on 7th August 2026 as part of the community health screening initiative and preliminary participant identification for the PhD clinical research work of Dr.Sharanamma, Associate Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa.

A total of 60 patients were screened during the camp. The participants underwent general health assessment and preliminary screening for factors associated with bone health and reduced Bone Mineral Density (BMD).

Following the screening, 40 eligible participants were enrolled for the Free BMD Test Camp scheduled on 10th August 2026 at KPSVS Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, H. Manvi.

The participants were provided health education regarding osteoporosis prevention, calcium-rich diet, adequate sunlight exposure, regular physical activity, and healthy lifestyle practices.

The camp was successfully conducted with good community participation and served as an important screening and enrolment activity for the PhD clinical research work.
