Introduction: Shalya Tantra is one of the Eight Branches of Ayurveda; It is a Branch of Ayurveda that deals with surgery. It Includes techniques for treating Illness through surgery. As well as Methods for Preventing and Diagnosing surgical problems

* In ancient India also surgery was pioneered principally by Ayurveda Acharya sushruta was the first surgeon to develop cosmetic surgery
* Shalya Tantra Includes Kshara Sutra Karma as well developed unit for anorectal disorders like Haemorrhoids, Fissure, Fistula
