- Shalya Tantra focus on the removal of foreign bodies, illness. Conditions requiring surgical or Non-surgical therapy.
- In ancient India also surgery was pioneered principally by Ayurveda Acharya sushruta was the first surgeon to develop cosmetic surgery.
- Shalya Tantra Includes Kshara Sutra Karma as well developed unit for anorectal disorders like Haemorrhoids, Fissure, Fistula.
